The league will consist of 6 teams. Each team will have 6 driver all picked during the draft. The teams will field a 4 man starting line-up with 2 drivers that will serve as a bench.
Score Big Points
Your starting drivers will earn points based the following formula:
Total Points = Qualifying Points + Sprint Cup Points
Qualifying Points are awarded to a driver based on his qualifying position where position 1 receives 43 points, Position 2 received 42 points, and so forth to Position 43 which receives 1 point. In the event that drivers do not qualify for a race due to weather or other circumstances and thus the starting order is determined by owner points, Qualifying Points still are awarded based on the starting order. Qualifying points are determined based off qualifying. This means if the driver wins the pole, but has to go to the back of the field due to an engine change. You would still receive the 43 points for that week.
To determine league standings, teams are ranked by the total points from the drivers on their starting teams. The team with the most points is first and the team with the fewest points is last.
Points are accumulated weekly for all 4 starting drivers. Only Qualifying Points and Sprint Cup points from the listed races are used. A driver's Qualifying Points and Sprint Cup points are added to your team totals only during the week(s) that he is on your starting team.
During the game, you can drop and add new drivers by making free agent acquisitions.
Free agent acquisitions must be submited before 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Any request submittd afterward will be denied. A free agent acuisition must me emailed to the entire league. You must indicate which driver you are releasing.
Everyone in the pool will have the opportunity to email me to indicate whether or not they want the released driver from the time the driver is dropped until the start of the RACE. The person who gets the driver is determined by the SEASON STANDINGS (last place gets first dibs). The person who gets the driver will have until start of the race to drop one of their other drivers to keep six drivers on their roster. The new dropped driver will be available the next week where the driver would be available as a free agent.
A drivers list will be maintained on the Driver Page to help identify drivers available for free agency. If there is a driver that I have over looked, and is not on the list. Please just email the write in ballet, and I will update the page to add them.
Trade aggreements have yet to happen, but you never know. Therefore we will set some rules, to make sure we are covered. A trade can be made up till the start of the race. An email must be sent to me so that I can keep track of the trades, and put a blessing.
Drivers can be moved from your bench to starter position upto the start of the race. This will allow you to field the team with the best chance to score points. Remember, you score points for qualifying position.
